Frequently Asked Questions
What is brow microblading?
Microblading, eyebrow feathering, or micropigmentation is the process of manually implanting pigment into the epidermal layer of skin by means of tine, sterile, disposable needles to produce the appearance of hair strokes. The location of the deposit of pigment makes microblading a semi-permanent tattoo. A standard body tattoo's pigment is deposited further into the dermal layer of skin.
Who is microblading for?
If you want brows that are flawless and effortless, then microblading is for you!
What is scalp microblading?
Scalp microblading is a realistic way to replicate strands of hair on the scalp. Pigment is implanted in small, feathered strokes to mimic the appearance of hair, adding more density.
Does it hurt?
Topical anesthetic is applied prior to the procedure. Everyone has a different level of sensitivity to their skin.
How long is the microblading healing process?
Immediately after the procedure, your brows may be a little red and swollen. This will disappear quickly. Immediately following the procedure, your eyebrows will appear darker and a little thicker than what you will want. After a few days, the surface colour naturally exfoliates and leaves a softer colour. After a week (may be more depending on your skin) the colour will fade 30% - 50%. This is why your touch up in 4-6 weeks is important. The touch up will is necessary to achieve the perfect richness of colour and density of the shape.
What is scalp micropigmentation?
Scalp micropigmentation is a non-invasive treatment that is also known as "the cure for baldness". Through the use of micro-needles, pigment is deposited into the scalp replicating the appearance of hair follicles. This gives the look of fuller hair and can restore receding hairlines.
Can I receive microblading if I am pregnant or nursing?
As a precaution, we do not perform microblading on pregnant women unless they have a doctor's note stating it is safe.
What are eyelash extensions?
Eyelash extensions are single strands of synthetic or mink eyelashes that replicate a natural lash. They are applied to each individual eyelash with a bonding agent for a natural and beautiful look. Eyelash extensions come in many different curves and lengths and are completely adaptable to your liking.
Will eyelash extensions ruin my natural lashes?
Absolutely not! Each of your natural eyelashes is isolated while an extensions is placed on top, 0.5 mm away from the skin. The extension will grow with your natural eyelashes and eventually fall off with your natural lash cycle.
What is a lash lift?
A lash lift is a perm of your natural lashes. This procedure has less maintenance than eyelash extensions and is ideal for individuals with naturally long, but straight lashes. However, great results can also be seen on shorter lashes.
